I like to think of A Blade So Black as "if Alice in Wonderland had a violent streak."
Alice has been identified as a Dreamwalker, a human who can cross the veil into Wonderland in order to slay Nightmares, living monsters who are the tangible fears of humans. Just as she is ready to lay down her weapons for retirement, a mysterious and masked “Dark Knight” returns from the grave to threaten Alice and her mentor, Hatta. Alice will have to team up with twin Dreamwalkers Dee and Dem to defeat the Dark Knight. But will they be successful?
Definitely for readers who like Robin LaFevers’s His Dark Assassin and Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass— female protagonists whose bite is worse than their bark.
